about Taylor & porter

Documentary wedding photographer

At Taylor & Porter we focus on capturing real, emotional, and unique moments in our blend of fashion-forward, editorial, and timeless black & white documentary photography.

We invite you to leave all preconceptions about wedding imagery at the door. Should-dos and must-haves don’t exist. We don’t create clichéd wedding photography. Magic is found when we trust in the authenticity and energy of the event – and it is our number one mission to capture that.

Our philosophy

There is always magic to be found

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

“Working with Louise from Taylor & Porter was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, she was everything we could have hoped for and more. Leading up to the wedding Louise worked closely with us to understand our visions and priorities. The day of the wedding she blew us away with her performance. She was relaxed but attentive throughout. It was like taking photos with a friend that you implicitly trusted.”

About Taylor & Porter
Louise Brotherton, founder of Taylor & Porter

I’m Louise, founder and lead photographer. I created Taylor & Porter in 2012, after completing my degree my Photojournalism at the University of the Arts in London. Honouring my grandmothers, whose respective maiden names gave the business its title, in the years since, Taylor & Porter has captured weddings all around the world for adventurous clients and most recently I expanded the studio to include authentic Super 8mm movies captured on Kodak motion picture film.

I view myself as a “creative archaeologist,” exploring locations with an open mind, seeking unique opportunities, and transforming them into editorial gems. As an emotionally collaborative photographer, I am always sensitive to your enjoyment of the day. I avoid creating disruptions or removing you from the moment.

I aim to strike that perfect line between offering subtle guidance and allowing events to unfold naturally. My goal is to empower you to lean into the day and let the energy of the event craft our narrative - this is where we find truly outstanding photographic opportunities.

More kind words

“It was a pleasure working with Louise, she was professional, calm and meticulous. I had seen Louise’s work before our wedding when she captured one of my best friend’s wedding day. As a result, I was excited to work with her and she came highly recommended. Her photography is carefully planned and the results are incredible. Louise thoroughly researched both our pre-wedding and wedding locations to ensure that everything moved smoothly on both occasions and that we maximised on the natural light. She provided the perfect amount of direction to put my husband and me at ease. I could not recommend Louise highly enough, I had complete confidence in her work and she delivered beautiful photographs that captured our wedding day perfectly.”
