Northern Skies

A story focusing on the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi in a time-worn English stately home. In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi sabi is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”. In other words, wabi sabi acknowledges three simple realities: “Nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect.“
